Open Grand Prix.

A fun opportunity to compete in go-karting. Here we all compete on equal terms and for fun. Perfect for those who want to get better and want to see and learn from the very best in Sweden!

The 2026 season kicks off with the first race of the year on Tuesday, January 13, at our facility in Kungälv. Are you ready for the next level of world-class racing?

From time to time, we also organize Le Mans races. Sign up for our race email below to get the latest news first.

NEWS 2026!

The race calendar for 2026 is available below, where we will continue to run OGP every month, with six race evenings in Gothenburg and six in Kungälv. The races will also continue to be run in reverse every other month.

The competition format will undergo its biggest update since the start of the OGP, with all drivers earning more points in the Sodi World Series. (Read more about the 2026 format below.)

2026 will also bring brand new maps (Sodi RSX2) to our track in Gothenburg and updated Sodi maps in Kungälv. The maps have Boost and a screen on the steering wheel where you, as the driver, can follow your lap times, position, and see the available Boost.

Open Le Mans 2026

In 2026, we will continue with the same format as in 2025 and run two spectacular Le Mans races – a challenge for those of you who want to compete for real! The competitions are open to all teams that have passed our Speedkart limit. Speed, strategy, and team spirit are the focus.

Prerequisites

You must have passed the Speedkart limit. (read more here)
Weighting up to 90 kg can be done using your own weights or our weight plates, which are available at both facilities.

Amateur vs. Pro

The competitions will be run in two different classes, Amateur and Pro. As a driver, you choose which class you want to belong to, but Gokartcentralen, as the organizer, has the authority to move a driver during the season if they are clearly driving in the wrong class.

AMATEUR (AM) – For those who enjoy competing but don't want to spend their entire budget on go-karting.
PRO – For serious drivers who have experience and have driven OGP with us before.

Both classes will compete in the same competition format on the same competition day, but will be divided into different heats. As the organizer, Gokartcentralen reserves the right to merge classes if there are too few drivers in a class on the competition day.

Time trial6 laps (3 laps on Kungälv's indoor/outdoor track)
Sprint 1: 10 laps (starting order based on time trials)(6 laps on Kungälv's indoor/outdoor track)
Sprint 2: 10 laps (starting order based on best lap time in Sprint 1)(6 laps on Kungälv's indoor/outdoor track)
Final: 15 laps (starting order based on best lap time in Time Qualifying+Sprint 1+Sprint 2)(9 laps on Kungälv's indoor/outdoor track)

Every other month on each track, the races will be run in the opposite direction to add a little extra excitement.

Each race day counts towards the Sodi World Series, an international karting series where you collect points and are ranked. Register your driver profile before coming to OGP on the SWS (Sodi World Series) website here

SEK 595 per participant (per competition)
Maximum 32 participants per competition
